Albright Earns Golden Torch For Men's Golf

TALLAHASSEE – Graduate student Gray Albright was honored with the 2024 Golden Torch Award for the Men's Golf team, recognizing his outstanding academic achievements and impressive GPA. One event into his final season as a Seminole, Albright continues to build an impressive resume both on the course and in the classroom. Albright is currently pursuing a second bachelor's degree in social science after earning a bachelor's degree in real estate from Florida State in 2024.
"My academic success is based on starting quickly and setting a solid plan for the semester," said Albright. "Academics has always been important to me and my family. I have been fortunate to achieve success in the classroom because it has always been a priority for me. As my career as a golfer has continued to grow, my desire to do well in the classroom has grown in importance. My desire to achieve in all phases of my career is a driving force in my life."
In addition to his success on the golf course, Albright has achieved consistently high marks as an academic scholar. He has been named to ACC Academic Honor Roll from 2022 to 2024 and was named to the 2024 All-ACC Academic Men's Golf Team.
His impressive list of accomplishments on the golf course includes him being ranked No. 13 on the 2024-25 PGA Tour U Top 25 while earning Preseason All-American Honorable Mention from Golfweek for the upcoming season.
On the golf course, Albright won the individual championships at the 2023 Seminole Intercollegiate Champion (-10, 206) at Seminole Legacy Golf Club and the 2024 Watersound Invitational (-10, 206) at Sharks Tooth Golf Club in Panama City Beach.
Albright earned All-ACC honors for the 2023-2024 season.
Albright continues to prove he is the total package, a student-athlete excelling in both academics and athletics.
