SHANGLUO, CHINA – Florida State freshman Myriah Massey won the gold medal in the FIVB U19 Beach Volleyball World Championship in Shangluo, China, on Sunday.

Massey and Davis began the tournament from the qualifiers, going on to win eight of nine matches in order to triumph as champions. In the gold medal match, Massey and Davis shut out Spain, 21-16, 21-16. The pair became the third American duo to win the U19 women's world title.

After being crowned world champion, Massey told VolleyballWorld.com "I think our biggest achievement was getting out of the qualifier because we wouldn't have been able to get all the way here if we didn't take care of business in the first few matches that we played."

The Pickerington, Ohio, native appeared in one match for the Seminoles in 2024, partnering with Caitlin Moon to defeat Coastal Carolina, 21-17, 21-15, on court five. Massey previously played in the world championships for Team USA's U17 team, where she and Ashley Pater earned a silver medal.
