TALLAHASSEE - The FSU women's tennis team looks to continue its 2024 success heading into the 2025 spring season. The Noles hit the road to begin competition Saturday, at the Alfred A. Ring Tennis Complex in Gainesville, Florida for the Florida Invitational. FSU enters the season ranked 24th in the first ITA preseason coaches poll.
After an impressive 17-9 record in 2024, including an ACC Championship Semifinals berth and a visit to the second round of the NCAA Championships, the Noles continued to improve this past fall. Maria Juliana Parra Romero and Millie Bissett started the fall by securing three doubles victories at the ITA All-American Championships. The Seminoles then competed at the ITA Southeast Regional Championships winning 13 matches collectively. At the UNF Invitational, Mary Boyce Deatherage and Maelie Monfils went undefeated in singles and were champions of their respective singles flights. Cade Cricchio and Tina Li also were perfect to win their flight in doubles. The Noles ended their fall season at the ITA Conference Masters Championships.
