SPRING 2025
Earned her first spring singles win against Mercer, leading to a three-match singles winning streak...Earned her first conference singles win as a Seminole with a 6-4, 6-1 victory at Boston College...She defeated Carrie Beckman of No. 23 Notre Dame 6-4, 6-1...Helped the Noles defeat No. 50 Miami by defeating Aley Arai 6-4, 6-3...Defeated Kayla Schefke of No. 62 SMU 6-4, 6-4 to help lead a 4-3 comeback victory for Florida State...Defeated Makayla Mills of No. 36 Wake Forest for a 4-1 Seminole win on Senior Day...Began the spring doubles season with a 6-0 ranked victory over the No. 117-ranked pair of Alabama State with partner Eva Shaw...The pair went undefeated during non-conference play...After winning their first conference match at Boston College, the pair defeated the No. 25-ranked duo of Miami and began conference play 5-0...The duo earned their highest-ranked victory of the season at Duke, defeating the No. 15-ranked pair  6-2...Maria and Eva won 13-straight matches, tied for third all-time in FSU history for consecutive partner doubles matches won...She won a total of 14 consecutive doubles matches, tying the FSU school record for consecutive individual doubles matches won...She earned third-team All-ACC doubles honors and was ranked as high as No. 39 in the ITA doubles rankings.

FALL 2024

Kicked off her Seminole career in doubles with partner Millie Bissett at the ITA All-American Championships, qualifying for the doubles round of 32 with a 7-5, 2-6, 1-0 (5) win over the No. 51 pair of Anet Koskel and Grace O'Donnell from Arkansas...The duo continued their success with a 2-6, 6-1, 1-0 (3) victory over Lindsay Zink and Susanna Maltby of North Carolina in the qualifying round of 16, helping the pair advance into the main draw play... The pair secured their third tournament win with a 7-6 (6), 0-6, 1-0 (7) win over No. 23 Elza Tomase and Catherine Aulia of Tennessee on Wednesday...She was also able to secure her first singles victory as a Seminole as she defeated Valeria Ray of Vanderbilt 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 in the qualifying round of 64...Partnered with Bissett at the ITA Regional Southeast Championships, securing two victories in doubles and advancing to the quarterfinals in the doubles main draw...The pair won 8-1 over Sofia Madrid and Ema Barianakova of Kennesaw State in the doubles main draw round of 32 and 8-1 over Anja Draskovic and Oyinlomo Quandre of FIU in the round of 16...She added two wins in singles on the weekend...Concluded her fall with Millie Bissett at the ITA Conference Masters Championships with a  6-2, 6-3 victory over Laia Giralt and Manuela of Siena College in the consolation round of 16. 



BEFORE FLORIDA STATE

Parra Romero spent her first three seasons at Liberty….accumulated 44 victories in singles and 36 in doubles throughout her collegiate career…earned first-team All-CUSA honors in singles this past season, her third straight year as a first-team all-conference performer….earned first-team all-conference honors in 2022 and 2023 when Liberty was a member of the ASUN…was the conference's Freshman of the Year in 2022…reached No. 1 in Colombia's junior tennis rankings and earned a No. 527 ITF ranking.

Born October 7, 2002…daughter of Roque Parra and Lina Romero…major is Interdisciplinary Studies..hobbies are listening to music, playing pádel, and travel!
