Noles Set to Take on Illinois in Exhibition Match

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State men's golf team will take on Illinois in an exhibition match on February 1 at the Camp Creek Golf Club in Inlet Beach, Florida.
The one-day match will feature two of the top teams in the nation. The Seminoles and Fighting Illini met during the fall in the Folds of Honor Collegiate and the Olympia Fields Intercollegiate. Illinois finished the first portion of the season ranked 11th in the country in the Golf Coaches Association of America Poll, while the Noles received votes.
Florida State last topped Illinois in the quarterfinals of the 2023 NCAA Tournament in match play. FSU and Illinois also finished in the top eight in 2024 qualifying for match play, as the Noles competed against Auburn in the Championship Match.
