Weaver Takes Bronze with England Golf at World Amateur

TALLAHASSEE- Florida State junior Tyler Weaver led  England to the bronze medal at the 2025 World Amateur Team Championship, which took place at Tanah Merah Country Club in Singapore.
 
England finished 19-under par as a group, just two shots behind Australia. South African won the Eisenhower Trophy at 29-under. England was also the top finished European nation. 
 
As an individual, Weaver was 5-under at 283 and tied for 17th place overall among the 108 golfers in the field.  Weaver contributed rounds of 73, 69, 68, and 73.
 
Prior to winning bronze, Weaver represented Ireland and Great Britain at the 50th Walker Cup, and was also a part of the bronze medal-winning squad at the European Team Championships. Weaver, who currently sits 11th in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, also advanced to match play at the 2025 U.S Amateur and qualified for the U.S. Open, where he placed fourth among amateurs. He also started the summer winning the Arnold Palmer Cup while representing Team International. 

The No.22 Seminoles will close the fall portion of the schedule at the Golf Club of Georgia Collegiate, running from Oct. 24-26 in Alpharetta, Georgia.
