10/30/2025 10:07:00 AM | Men's Cross Country, Women's Cross Country

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State cross country teams are set to compete at the ACC Championship on Friday in Louisville.

The Seminoles will compete at the "Tom" Sawyer State Park, the second time the conference meet will be held in Louisville and the first since 2017. The women's 6k is set to begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by the men's 8k at 10:30 a.m. Expanded coverage will air throughout the morning on ACC Network Extra and can be accessed at Seminoles.com. Flash Results will also be available.

MEET NOTES
Florida State owns eight team conference championships in program history, including seven on the women's side and one on the men's. Four women have won individual titles, while two men have been crowned conference champions, with Andrew Lemoncello capturing consecutive crowns in 2004 and 2005.

This year's ACC Championships will feature several nationally ranked programs, as the Seminole women are set to face No. 2 NC State, No. 5 Notre Dame, No. 13 Stanford, No. 15 Virginia, No. 28 Wake Forest and No. 30 Boston College.

Last season, the women finished seventh as a team, highlighted by two All-ACC performances from Bieke Schipperen and Agnes McTighe.

The return of Schipperen and the emergence of freshman Rylee Blade has helped the Seminoles improve since last year's conference championship. Schipperen earned her first All-ACC honor last season, placing 17th overall with a time of 20:02.5. The Netherlands native has dropped her time this season, posting a career-best of 19:56.1 at the Pre-Nationals meet earlier this month in Columbia, Missouri.

Blade has had a phenomenal first year, earning two ACC Performer of the Week honors which is tied for the second-most in program history within a single season. The Corona, California, native has been Florida State's top finisher in three consecutive meets and will make her ACC Championship debut after two top-five finishes during the regular season, including a personal best of 19:37.0.

Joining Schipperen and Blade in the women's lineup will be Suus Altorf, Maggie Bartlow, Nicole Dinan, Brooke Hooper, Ella Menke, Ava Povich and Lindy White.

On the men's side, six ranked teams will toe the line: No. 4 Virginia, No. 6 Syracuse, No. 12 Wake Forest, No. 16 Notre Dame, No. 23 North Carolina, No. 27 Virginia Tech and No. 27 Stanford.

The Seminoles are looking to improve on its 10th-place finish from the 2024 conference meet. Graduate transfer Isaac Hirshman Chandler has been Florida State's top scorer in the last two meets, while Kaden Levings and Lucas Bouquot are the two returners from last year's lineup who finished in the top 100 at the ACC Championships. Parker Adams, Aniol Borrás, Gino Palazzolo, Aidan Ryan, Finn Thomas and Zach Trotter will make their postseason debuts alongside Hirshman Chandler, Levings and Bouquot.

LAST TIME OUT
Florida State closed out the regular season at the Pre-Nationals meet in Columbia, Missouri. The women's team finished fifth overall with 255 points, marking the highest Pre-Nationals finish under head coach Cody Halsey.

Hooper finished behind Blade and Schipperen in 52nd, clocking a lifetime best of 20:35.0, while Altorf posted a personal-best of 20:35.2 for 53rd. Povich rounded out Florida State's top five in 131st with a career-best 21:19.7.
