TALLAHASSEE – Collin Paul (Calvary Christian Academy/SOH Elite) has signed a Grant in Aid to attend Florida State and play basketball for first-year head coach Luke Loucks and his staff.
Paul (6-7, 225), a 4-star recruit, averaged 13.4 points, 6.5 rebounds, 2.4 assists, and 1.2 steals during his junior season at Calvary Christian Academy. Playing with SOH Elite this spring, Paul averaged 16.5 points, 8.6 rebounds, 3.8 assists, 1.9 steals, and 1.1 blocked shots on the Under Armour AAU Circuit. During the 2025 UAA Session I, Paul was a standout as he was named as the Defensive MVP and to the All Session I First-Team.
He played in the prestigious NBPA Top 100 Camp in the summer of 2025.
"Collin Paul is one of the most versatile players in high school basketball with his ability to dribble, pass and shoot," said Florida State head coach Luke Loucks. "He can attack the paint and make great decisions with the basketball as a facilitator. He is an underrated defender that can guard multiple positions and disrupt. He fits our playing style with the combination of positional size, length, and skill.
"Collin is recovering from an ACL injury. We are pleased with his progress and look forward to him getting back on the court to represent the Garnet and Gold."
The culture surrounding the FSU program combined with Coach Loucks' and the rest of his staffs' NBA experience really made an impact on Paul's commitment.
"I truly believed that Coach Loucks and Florida State could offer me a better opportunity to grow as a player, compete at the highest level of college basketball, and hopefully make it to the NBA," said Paul. "I've seen firsthand the positive impact Coach Loucks has had on his players, which makes me even more eager to learn from and play under him. Because of this, choosing Florida State is the right decision for me."

"Collin, I want to congratulate you on your commitment to Florida State. You have poured your heart into this game and approached it with detail, passion but most importantly a kindness that will far exceed anything you could ever do on the hardwood. This next chapter is a reflection of everything you've poured into the game and into those around you. You've thanked everyone in your life a thousand times over for supporting you and helping you get here, but the way you pay us back is to never give up on yourself. Behind all of the lights and the big stage I'm so excited for everyone and the FSU fan base and staff to grow to love the man that you are and see you the way your friends and family sees you, a kid who fell in love with an orange ball. You have already far exceeded any expectations I have for you and nothing you could do could make me any less proud."

"Collin Paul is one of the most versatile players in the country. There is nothing on the court he can't do. It was an honor to coach him through his high school career in the last three seasons. Collin helped the legacy of Calvary to continue year after year and we are better because of it. I can't wait to see him blossom at Florida State under Coach Loucks and his staff."
