FSU Heads to Georgia Invite

ATHENS, Ga. – The No. ??16??/NR Florida State swimming and diving team returns to action this week at the Georgia Invitational from November 18-21 in Athens, Georgia.
 
The Seminoles will face off against five programs at the four-day meet, including four top-20 opponents: ?host?-No. 8/18 Georgia, No. 14/16 Alabama, No. 4/7 Florida, No. 13/11 LSU and Georgia Tech.
 
Competition opens Tuesday at 2 p.m. ?ET with distance and relay events before shifting to a full schedule of prelims (9:30 a.m.) and finals (5:30 p.m.) from Wednesday through Friday.?

"We're looking forward to competing this week," said FSU head coach Neal Studd. "It's a great opportunity for us to race hard and see our progress. We're running through the new NCAA format so that will be exciting and a good learning experience for the postseason."
 
Florida State enters the meet ranked No. 16 in the latest CSCAA men's poll, moving up two spots from its October position.
 
The Seminoles last competed on November 7 in a tri-meet against a pair of top-25 foes, LSU and Alabama, where sophomores Mathias Christensen and Michel Arkhangelsky each set LSU Natatorium pool records.? Christensen's records came in the 200 butterfly and 200 individual medley, while Arkhangelsky set the record in the 100 butterfly.
 
On the women's side, sophomore Evelyn Hall led FSU with a win on 3-meter and a second-place finish on 1-meter against the two ranked opponents.
 
The Georgia Invite serves as Florida State's final team competition of the 2025 calendar year. The Seminoles will return to action on January 6, hosting Villanova at Morcom Aquatics Center.
