Noles Drop Regular Season Finale

11/28/2025 4:46:00 PM | Women's Volleyball

TALLAHASSEE - The Florida State volleyball team (16-13, 10-10) dropped its regular season finale against Clemson (17-14, 5-14) in four sets (25-21, 17-25, 22-25, 20-25) on Friday afternoon at Tully Gym.

Set one was a back-and-forth affair, but the Tigers were able to create some separation with a 19-16 lead. The Noles stormed right back as a service error, a kill from Nellie Stevenson and a block by Nenu Kpea and Kyleene Filimaua tied the set at 19 forcing a Clemson timeout. The timeout did not stop the momentum as the Noles scored the next three points and eventually took the first set 25-21.

The Tigers responded by taking set two thanks to a 7-1 run in the middle of the set. The Tigers went on to win the set 25-17.

The Tigers jumped out early again in set three and built a 21-15 lead, but the Noles continued to fight back as they went on a 5-2 run themselves but couldn't pull off the comeback.

Clemson once again built an early lead in set four at 16-10 and eventually 20-13, but FSU scored five straight to cut the lead to two at 20-18. That was as close as the Noles got as Clemson closed out the set to take the match.

Filimaua was terrific as she recorded her 13th double double of the season with 20 kills and 10 digs. Filimaua ends the season with 443 kills, the eighth most in FSU history in the rally scoring era and the most kills in a single season since Payton Caffrey in 2018. Filimaua also finishes ninth in school history with 4.35 points per set.

Filimaua's counterpart, Iane Henke, ended her final match with the Garnet and Gold with a bang. Henke recorded a double double as well with 17 kills and 12 digs. Henke put together one of the best seasons in school history as she will finish third all-time in FSU history in kills per set (4.43) and second all-time in FSU history in points per set (5.10).

Senior Nellie Stevenson and Lily Nicholson each had 40 assists while Nicholson picked up a double double with 10 digs.
