Baton Rouge, La. – Three pool records were broken by the No. 18/RV Florida State swimming and diving team at the LSU Natatorium as FSU fell to No. 14/21 LSU and No. 16/16 Alabama on Friday afternoon.

Sophomores Mathias Christensen and Michel Arkhangelsky both set pool records with victories, Christensen in the 200 butterfly and 200 individual medley and Arkhangelsky in the 100 butterfly.

"We saw some great performances from our swimmers and divers today," FSU head coach Neal Studd said. "Mathias and Michel broke pool records, and it's exciting to see our athletes continuing to grow and show resilience."

Christensen led the way for the Seminoles with his two individual victories and two LSU Natatorium records. Christensen first won the 200 butterfly with a personal-best time of 1:43.17, which ranks fourth all-time in program history. He later added another pool record in the 200 individual medley, touching the wall in 1:44.92.

Following his recognition as ACC Swimmer of the Week three days ago, Arkhangelsky continued his momentum and contributed to the record-breaking day by setting the pool record in the 100 butterfly. He notched a winning time of 45.82.

Sophomore Evelyn Hall led the way for the women against the two top-25 opponents, taking first on 3-meter (306.00) and second on 1-meter (256.10).

Sophomore Logan Robinson added a victory in the 200 freestyle with a personal-best 1:35.27, and he also finished second in the 200 butterfly (1:43.78), just behind Christensen. Senior Max Wilson contributed a runner-up finish in the 100 backstroke (46.20) to round out the meet for the Seminole men.

Up next, the Seminoles will return to action at the Georgia Invite in Athens, Georgia, from November 18-21.
