TALLAHASSEE - The Florida State women's tennis team begins its month-long road stretch beginning with Charleston Southern this Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Gary Clark Banks Sr. Tennis Center in Charleston, South Carolina.

Saturday's match will be the first time the Seminoles and the Buccaneers have faced one another. FSU has won six consecutive matches and has swept five of its six opponents during that stretch.

The Seminoles find themselves with two doubles and one singles ranking in the latest ITA poll. Maria Juliana Parra Romero and Millie Bissett are FSU's highest current-ranked pair at No. 45, while Eva Shaw and Parra Romero entered the rankings for the first time as a duo this week at No. 86. Freshman Mary Boyce Deatherage received a No. 125 ranking in singles.

Deatherage is currently 12-1 this season and is off to the best singles season in Seminole freshman history through 13 matches since 1982. Parra Romero and Shaw continue to impress this spring, with a current record of 7-0.

Live stats will be available on Seminoles.com.
