TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State beach volleyball program will join the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation (MPSF) in 2026, it was announced on Thursday. The Seminoles are joining the MPSF along with Louisiana State University, University of South Carolina, and University of Texas, giving the league 11 teams in the 2026 season.
The four programs will be competing in the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association for the 2025 season. Florida State has competed in the CCSA since 2016, winning seven CCSA Championships in its time with the league.
"The MPSF is an amazing conference with amazing teams," head coach Brooke Niles said. "To be the best you have to compete against the best so aligning ourselves with this conference will provide us with the most competitive environment for our athletes."
The MPSF is set to include Florida State, Washington, Southern California, Grand Canyon, Stanford, Oregon, Cal, UCLA, Louisiana State, South Carolina, and Texas at the start of the 2026 season.
Florida State will kick off the 2025 season on February 21 at the Beach Burg Invitational in Hattiesburg, Mississippi against North Alabama.
