No. 22 Noles Fall to No. 14 NC State

TALLAHASSEE – The No. 22 Florida State women's basketball team (19-5, 9-3 ACC) fell to No. 14 NC State (19-4, 10-2 ACC) on Sunday afternoon at Donald L. Tucker Civic Center, 97-74.
Ta'Niya Latson led the offense with 23 points, her 21st game this season registering 20 points or more.
O'Mariah Gordon kept attacking and finished with 20 points and three assists.
Makayla Timpson contributed 14 points and nine rebounds, earning her 1,000th career rebound. She is the third Seminole in history to pass the mark, sitting at 1,001 for her career.
Amaya Bonner added 11 points and five rebounds.
Both Latson and Timpson led the Seminoles scoring with eight points each in the first half, but NC State started out with the 51-31 lead.
The Noles started the third quarter strong with six point run followed by a nine point run while holding the Wolfpack to 42 percent shooting.
Despite putting up 43 points in the second half, the Noles fell, 97-72.
This Thursday, Florida State will face Louisville (17-7, 10-3 ACC) on Sue Semrau Night at the Tucker Center at 6 p.m. The game will air on the ACC Network Extra.
