TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Twelve Florida State baseball student-athletes have been recognized on the 2025 Academic All-ACC Team, the ACC announced on Thursday.
FSU's 12 honorees marks the third consecutive year the program has had 10 or more on the Academic All-ACC Team, the only three times they have eclipsed double digits.
Florida State's 2025 Academic All-ACC recipients are redshirt senior Joe Charles, juniors Ben Barrett, Gage Harrelson, Alex Lodise, Maison Martinez and Max Williams, sophomores Cal Fisher, Chris Knier, Wes Mendes and Peyton Prescott, redshirt freshman Payton Manca and freshman Hunter Carns.
Barrett, Lodise and Williams are recognized for the second time in their careers, as Barrett was on the Academic All-ACC Team in 2023 and Lodise and Williams earned a spot on the list in 2024.
This is the second academic award of the 2025 campaign for Fisher and Harrelson, who both were named to the Academic All-District Team by the College Sports Communicators in early June.
The Seminoles' Academic All-ACC recipients also have a long list of athletic achievements earned in 2025. Lodise won the Dick Howser Trophy as the national player of the year, was a First Team All-American and was named the ACC Player of the Year and ACC Defensive Player of the Year. Williams collected ABCA Southeast All-Region Second Team and Second Team All-ACC honors and Harrelson was named to the Third Team All-ACC. Fisher and Mendes were recognized with Tallahassee Regional All-Regional Team distinction.
To earn Academic All-ACC accolades, players must have a grade-point average of 3.0 or higher both during their academic career and in the previous semester. They must also have competed in at least 50 percent of their team's games, or 20 percent for pitchers.
FSU's 12 Academic All-ACC awardees helped the Seminoles to a second consecutive NCAA Super Regional appearance in 2025 with a 42-16 record. FSU went 17-10 in the conference and finished in second place with a .630 winning percentage. The ACC runner-up finish and No. 2 seed at the conference tournament were the team's best since 2014.
