Edero Leads No. 9 Noles at Folds of Honor

TALLAHASSEE – The No. 9 Florida State men's golf team sits tied for fifth place following the opening round of the Folds of Honor Collegiate, held at the American Dunes Club in Grand Haven, Michigan.
 
Wilmer Edero led the Noles, finishing even 71 and is tied for eighth place after caring nine pars on the back nine.  He sits two strokes back from the lead.
 
After a slow start, Jack Bigham hit four birdies in five holes, including three-in-a-row as he made the turn. Bigham is tied for 13th at 1-over, 72 after round one.
 
Carson Brewer made four birdies on the day, including back-to-back on holes 15 and 16. He sits tied for 24th at 2-over, 73.
 
Jack Whaley made his debut in the Garnet and Gold, shooting 3-over, 74, along with Patrick McCann. Both are tied for 32nd.
 
Brewer will start round two on Tuesday from the first hole at 7:57 a.m. The Noles will be paired with Missouri and Air Force.
