Men’s Tennis Begins ACC Play Against Notre Dame and Louisville

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State men's tennis team will begin ACC action this week with conference clashes against No.17 Notre Dame (9-2) on February 27, followed by Louisville on March 1 (9-4).
FSU (8-4) will match up against the Fighting Irish in South Bend at 5:00 p.m. on Friday before facing the Cardinals at 12 p.m. on Sunday.
The Seminoles hold a multi-match unbeaten streak against Notre Dame and Louisville. Florida State extended its nine-match winning streak over the Fighting Irish with a 4-1 win in 2025; FSU has won four consecutive and nine of 11 against Louisville. FSU beat the Cardinals twice in 2025, including a 4-3 win in the ACC Tournament.
The newest ITA rankings were released on February 19. The doubles pair of Erik Schiessl and Luis Felipe Miguel moved up to No. 14 after being awarded ACC Duo of the Week honors on February 17. Schiessl is ranked as the No. 62 singles player in the nation, while Azariah Rusher moved up to No. 81. Miguel checked in at No. 109.

LAST TIME OUT:
The Florida State men's tennis team (8-4) earned a pair of victories in a home doubleheader against Jacksonville State and Southern Miss. The Seminoles handed the Gamecocks its second loss of the season (7-2) at the Scott Speicher Tennis Center, then earned a 7-0 victory over the Golden Eagles (2-3) in the afternoon.
