No. 47 Seminoles Sweep Boston College

CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – The No. 47 Florida State men's tennis team (10-9, 2-5 ACC) cruised to a 4-0 win over Boston College (4-9, 0-7 ACC) without losing a single first set on Thursday afternoon in Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts.
Erik Schiessl and Jan Sebesta grabbed the first doubles win of the day at the top spot, topping Liam O'Leary and Matvey Greschner 6-2. Justin Lyons and Mohammad Alkotop picked up a break to take a 5-3 lead in their match at the third spot, then defeated Luke Levanat and Mai Gao 6-3 to clinch the doubles point.
Florida State was dominant in singles, quickly winning a trio of matches to clinch the victory. The Seminoles won all six first sets to begin action in individual play as Justin Lyons continued the momentum. Lyons was victorious with a straight-set win over Aidan Pack from Boston College, 6-3, 6-0. The win marks Lyons' sixth so far this season.
No. 124 Azariah Rusher continues to prove his national ranking after notching his second straight ACC match on court five with a score of 6-1, 6-1 Alkotop secured the clinching point with a 6-4, 6-1 win over Matthew Overvelde.
Florida State will conclude the weekend in Texas with a matchup against No. 29 SMU at 1:00 p.m.
