Bailey Named ACC Player of the Week

TALLAHASSEE – Florida State baseball sophomore first baseman Myles Bailey has been named the ACC Pitcher of the Week, the conference announced on March 23.
Bailey earns his first career weekly honor after a Freshman All-America campaign in 2025. It is the second weekly ACC accolade for FSU this season, after junior left-handed pitcher Trey Beard was recognized with several national awards last week, including ACC Pitcher of the Week on March 14.
To lead now-No. 10-ranked FSU to a 3-1 week and a series win over then-No. 10 NC State, Bailey hit .500 against the Wolfpack with a 1.750 slugging percentage and a .714 on-base percentage. He hit four home runs on the week with 10 RBI and 20 total bases. All six of Bailey's hits went for extra bases.
Bailey hit two home runs on Saturday to cap a four-game home run streak, tied for eighth-longest in school history. His streak was snapped on Sunday when he was intentionally walked three times and hit by a pitch once, coming around to score on all four occasions.
Up next, Bailey and the Seminoles face in-state rival Florida at VyStar Ballpark in Jacksonville, Florida, on Tuesday, March 24, at 6 p.m. ET. A preview of the matchup is available here. Florida State then returns home this weekend to host Duke from March 27-29 at Dick Howser Stadium. The series begins on Friday, March 27, at 6 p.m. ET, followed by a 2 p.m. contest on Saturday that will be broadcast live on ACC Network.
