No. 24 Noles Open ACC Play on Thursday

PANAMA CITY BEACH, Fla. Â -Â Â The No. 24 Florida State men's golf team opened play at the 2026 ACC Championship at Shark's Tooth Golf Course at the Watersound Club on Thursday.
The Seminoles were led by Jack Whaley, who got off to a quick start, carding birdies on three of the first four holes. He added two more after making the turn, but finished 3-under, 69 for the round and is tied for fifth place. Whaley will enter the second round just three strokes back from the leader.
Jack Bigham followed, finishing the day 1-over 73 and is tied for 27th. Tyler Weaver was 2-over, 74 and sits tied for 35th, while Wilmer Edero was the fourth scorer for the Noles, shooting 3-over, 75 and is 45th.
As a team, Florida State sits tied for eighth place at 3-over, 291 alongside No. 2 Virginia and Clemson, however the Noles are just six strokes back from second place. The Seminoles will tee off on Friday at 10:17 a.m. from the first tee for the second round. The third and final round of stroke play will take place on Saturday before the top eight teams advance to match play on Sunday.
