No. 1 Seed Beach Volleyball Records Two Wins at Big 12 Championship

TUCSON, Ariz. – No. 1 seed Florida State (31-2) defeated two conference rivals with matches against 5-seed Boise State (19-15) and 4-seed South Carolina (22-9) to open the Big 12 Beach Volleyball Championships in Tucson, Arizona.
In their third matchup of the season, FSU needed only two sets per court to put together a 4-1 win over Boise State. Bailey Higgins and Myriah Massey struck first, notching a court four win at 21-17, 21-12. Undefeated court one duo Alexis Durish and Audrey Koenig clinched the match with a victory at 21-17, 21-15.
The Noles took on South Carolina for their second match, wrapping up pool play and recording another 4-1 win. Gella Andrew and Maddie Trusty earned the second dual point on court two, beating the Gamecocks 21-11, 21-15. It was Kyleene Filimaua and Saofe Duval who sealed the victory on court five at 21-17, 21-10.
