TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State track and field teams will travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, for the outdoor regular season finale, competing at the LSU Invitational on Saturday. The meet will serve as the final preparation for the ACC Championships on May 14-16.
Cooper Crowell will begin competition in the men's hammer throw at 11:00 a.m. ET, followed by Micahi Danzy, Tyler Azcano, Durian Moss and Amare Williams in the men's 4x100 to start the running portion at 12:35 p.m.
Danzy will compete in the 400 for the first time this season, currently holding the program record with a time of 44.38 that was set at the 2025 ACC Championship. Danzy's personal best also marks a conference and meet record where he captured the first individual gold medal of his career.
Breaden Ofosu-Kwarteng is set to race alongside Danzy. Ofosu-Kwarteng currently holds the ninth-fastest time in program history in the indoor 400 after recording a time of 46.53 at the Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational earlier this year. The transfer also helped the men's 4x400 to the second-fastest time in FSU history at 3:05.18 to conclude the meet.
Nafy Thiam will conclude her outdoor collegiate regular season in the shotput coming off a strong performance at the Tom Jones Memorial Invite on April 17 where she set a school, U20 and Senior Belgium national record with a mark of 17.30 meters.
Rylee Blade will close out her first regular season in the 1,500. Blade set a new school record in the women's 5,000-meters at the Penn Relays on Thursday, establishing a personal best with a time of 15:29.45. Blade erased the time that was set by Lauren Ryan in 2022 at 15:30.00. She now leads the ACC and ranks 14th in the NCAA.
Oakley Olson, Lindy White and Ella Menke will continue their strength in the women's 3,000 meter steeplechase after being ranked as the fifth-fastest event squad in the latest USTFCCCA national rankings.
Kaelyaah Liburd will open her season in the women's 400, after last competing at the Indoor Conference Championship placing second in the indoor 400 with a school and British Virgin Island national record time of 51.58. Liburd also holds the national record time in the outdoor 400 at 51.31, which punched her ticket to her first NCAA Outdoor National Championship last year.
Azharia Jones will look to highlight the jumps, participating in the women's long jump. Jones captured her first collegiate win in the event at last year's LSU Invite, winning with a jump of 6.09 meters.
Live results and video will be available on Seminoles.com.
