FSU to Host NCAA Tallahassee Regional as No. 10 National Seed

TALLAHASSEE – The Florida State baseball team has been named the No. 10 national seed in the 2026 NCAA D1 Baseball Championship and will host the Tallahassee Regional, with the complete bracket announced on Monday.
Joining the top-seeded Seminoles at Dick Howser Stadium will be No. 2 seed Coastal Carolina, third-seeded Northern Illinois and No. 4-seed St. John's.
The regional will begin with FSU hosting St. John's on Friday, May 29, at 3 p.m. ET, on ACC Network. Coastal Carolina and NIU will meet at 8 p.m. on Friday on ESPN+. The double-elimination regional continues on Saturday, May 30, with an elimination game at 1 p.m. before a winner's-bracket contest at 6 p.m. Sunday's games also are at 1 p.m. and 6 p.m. If necessary, the two regional finalists will play another game on Monday at a time to be determined. TV designations for the games beyond Friday also will be determined once each matchup is set.
Florida State earned a postseason berth for the 62nd time in team history, second-most among all NCAA DI programs, and will host an NCAA Regional for the 38th time. The Seminoles are one of three teams in the country to host a regional in three consecutive years, in 2024, 2025 and 2026. FSU enters NCAA play with a 38-17 record. Finishing third in the ACC, the Seminoles were 19-11 with eight series wins, both their best totals since 2014 outside of the extended 2021 season. FSU is 27-4 at home in 2026.
For a second year in a row, Florida State is one of three ACC teams selected to host a regional and one of nine to be selected to the 64-team field.
Coastal Carolina will make its 22nd NCAA appearance after finishing the 2025 season as the national runners-up. With a 37-21 record, Coastal was second in the Sun Belt Conference.
In the NCAA Championship for the first time since 1972, NIU won its first MAC title this season. The Huskies won a school-record 35 games in 2026.
St. John's earned its 39th NCAA berth after winning its conference-leading 11th Big East Tournament title. The Red Storm are 33-24 on the year and are in an NCAA Regional for the second time in the last three years.
Florida State is 13-1 all-time against Coastal Carolina, including 1-0 in NCAA play. FSU is 1-0 all-time vs. Northern Illinois and 2-1 vs. St. John's.
All-session tickets for the 2026 NCAA Tallahassee Regional are on sale now at Seminoles.com/Tickets. Phone and walk-up orders will begin on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. by calling 888-378-6653 or visiting the main ticket office located at Doak Campbell Stadium, University Center C.
All-session tickets are $60 for reserved seats and $45 for general admission.
Individual game tickets will be available beginning on Friday, May 29. Individual game tickets are $20 for reserved seats, if available, and $15 for adult general admission and $10 for youth general admission (ages 3-18). Children aged 2 and under are free with a paying adult.
