Weaver Named to Haskins Award Postseason Watch List

TALLAHASSEE -  Florida State men's golf junior Tyler Weaver was one of the 15 golfers named to the 2025-26 Haskins Award Postseason Watch List on Tuesday. It was announced by Golfweek, the Golf Channel and Back of the Range.
 
The 10 Finalists for the 2025-2026 season will be announced on Friday, May 22, 2026.  In addition, Haskins Honors will once again be held at Grand Blanc Maison on Wednesday, May 27th for the 10 finalists and their coach. This special evening will be hosted by the Haskins Foundation, The Back of the Range, The College World Golf Championships Foundation, and the 1971-1973 Haskins Award winner, Ben Crenshaw.
 
Weaver, who is ranked No. 7 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings, is also among the 10 semifinalists for the Ben Hogan Award.  
 
In six collegiate tournaments this spring, Weaver finished in the top 20 in all six, including a victory at the Valspar Collegiate.
 
The Newmarket, England, native, won the event in a one-hole playoff, finishing at 15-under, 198, tying for the third-lowest score in FSU history and fourth in tournament history.  With his victory, Weaver earned an exemption into the 2027 Valspar.
 
Prior to his second career collegiate win, Weaver was the runner-up at the Seminole Intercollegiate, 11th at the Cabo Collegiate and fourth at the Watersound Invitational.  
 
This season, Weaver has led the Seminoles to four top five finishes as a team this season, including a victory at the Seminole Intercollegiate and a second-place finish at the Lewis Chitengwa Memorial.
 
At the ACC Championship, Weaver tied for 10th place in stroke play, finishing at 3-under, before going 2-0 in match play. Weaver, who is listed 10th in the Scoreboard Rankings, defeated Aidan Tran 2&1 to help the Noles over No. 21 Georgia Tech 3-2. In the semifinal, Weaver was dominant in his match, winning 4&2 over Jay Leng from Stanford.

Awarded to the top college golfer, The Fred Haskins Award presented by Stifel has been given to players who have captured 32 major championships and more than 400 professional tournaments around the world. Past recipients include Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Ben Crenshaw, and Justin Thomas. 
 
Voting will open on May 22nd and end on Monday, June 1st at the conclusion of the stroke play portion of the NCAA Championship. Current D1 male collegiate golfers, coaches, golf SIDs, past winners, and select college golf media members are eligible to vote for the ? Award.
