Three Noles Earn All-Academic

TALLAHASSEE -Â Florida State men's golf juniors Tyler Weaver, Wilmer Edero and Carson Brewer were three of the 48 student-athletes named to the All-ACC Men's Golf Academic Team on Monday.

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team include a minimum 3.0 grade point average for the previous two semesters and a 3.0 cumulative GPA for the student-athlete's academic career, along with being enrolled at the institution for at least one year and classified as an undergraduate student. In addition, student-athletes must compete in at least 50 percent of their team's athletic contests.

Weaver was one of 11 student-athletes named All-ACC who also earned a nod to the All-ACC Academic Team. He earned the award for the third time in his career after being named Academic All-District. On the course, Weaver captured two All-America honors. He was named First Team by Golfweek and Second Team by the GCAA after earning PING All-Southeast Region honors for the second time in his career. Weaver was also a Ben Hogan Award semifinalist.

Weaver finished the 2025-26 season with a scoring average of 69.58, marking the fifth-best average in program history. He joins Luke Clanton, John Pak, and Daniel Berger as the only Noles to turn in single season averages under 70 strokes.

In eight starts, Weaver finished in the top 25 in every outing, producing four top 10 showings, including a win at the Valspar Collegiate. Weaver was the runner-up at the Seminole Intercollegiate, earning ACC co-Golfer of the Month honors.Â

Weaver finished the season ranked 11th in the Scoreboard rankings and is currently third in the World Golf Amateur Rankings. Â

Brewer earns his second career nod to the list. In 12 starts, Brewer contributed 12 rounds at par or lower, finishing the season with a 73.30 average. Â He secured a pair of top 10 finishes, tying for fifth at the Seminole Intercollegiate. He made his second NCAA Championship appearance.

Edero was chosen for his first All-ACC Academic Team. He made 12 starts, contributing 12 rounds at par or lower. He finished the season with an average of 73.53, making his first start at the NCAA Championship. He finished in the top 10 twice this season and set the record for the lowest round in Lewis Chitengwa Memorial history, carding a career-low, 63. He finished tied for ninth.
