TALLAHASSEE - Fans will get their first chance to see the 2026 Florida State volleyball team on Friday night as the Noles will host the annual Garnet and Gold Scrimmage at 6 p.m. inside Tully Gym. Admission to the event is free.

Lindsay Allman enters her first season as the Seminoles' head coach after spending the past four season as an assistant at FSU. Allman will return five players who started in 10 more matches for FSU this year. Most prominently, Kyleene Filimaua returns after a breakout season in 2025. In her first full season as an outside hitter, Filimaua led the team with 443 kills and 42 aces while also adding 270 digs. Her 443 kills were the eighth most in FSU history in the rally scoring era and her 4.35 points per set were the ninth-most in FSU history. Filimaua earned Second Team All-ACC honors last season and was a Preseason All-ACC selection.

Allman also will return the two starting middle blockers from last season in Nenu Kpea and Delaney Ewing. Ewing had a great first season for the Noles as she led the team with 121 blocks and recorded 143 kills and hit .312 in her sophomore season, Kpea had an impressive freshman season as she was third on the team with 195 kills while also adding 117 blocks.

The Noles are also expected to get great production from sophomores Payton Whalen and Lexie Mason. Mason had 108 kills in her freshman campaign while Whalen added 87 kills.

The Noles bring in a pair of transfer setters in Emma Lilo and Callie Kieffer who are expected to contribute right away. In two seasons at Oregon State, Lilo recorded over 1,100 assists while adding 319 digs and played in 51 matches for the Beavers. Kieffer comes in from Alabama where she played in 58 matches in three seasons and recorded 1,280 assists and 43 aces. Kieffer also added 354 digs.

Allman also brings in Maile Chan who is expected to wear the libero jersey for the Noles in 2026. Chan was the top-rated libero in the state of Oregon coming out of high school and played two seasons at Wisconsin. Chan played in 38 sets and recorded 20 digs. Caylan Russ and Ava Lambert are also expected to compete for a starting spot in the back row.

On the right side, the Noles will look to Nicole Mauser and Bailey Higgins. Mauser is coming off a knee injury where she missed the 2025 season. Mauser tallied 471 kills in two seasons at Cal Baptist where she was named the 2023 WAC Freshman of the Year and Second Team All-WAC in 2024. Higgins joins the team after two seasons as a member of the FSU beach volleyball team. Higgins earned All-Big 12 honors in 2026 and posted a 31-3 record.

The Noles will begin the regular season at FGCU on August 28-30 where they will face No. 24 BYU, VCU and FGCU.
