Weaver, Whaley Capture Preseason All-American Accolades

Consisting of 10 golfers on each team, Golfweek named Weaver First Team, while Whaley was captured Third Team accolades. The Seminoles were also recognized ranked in Golfweek's preseason rankings, at No. 17.
Golf Channel also released its preseason honors on Monday. Florida State was ranked 25th among 30 teams. Weaver and Whaley both captured All-American honors, with Weaver earning a spot on the Second Team and Whaley received an honorable mention.
Weaver was named to the 2026-27 Fred Haskins Award Preseason Watchlist in August and and heads into this season as the No. 2 rated amateur in the world according to the World Golf Amateur Rankings. Whaley, the 126th U.S. Amateur Champion. is ranked 45th in the WAGR and will suit up for Great Britian and Ireland in the Walker Cup alongside Weaver. The tournament runs Sept. 5-6 in Lahinch, Ireland.
