Volleyball Set for Action at Miami

TALLAHASSEE - The Florida State volleyball team (6-5, 1-0 ACC) travels to Coral Gables to face Miami (2-8, 0-1 ACC) for the second time in five days. First serve is set for Sunday at 1 p.m. inside Freeman Indoor Stadium at the Knight Sports Complex.
Florida State leads the all-time series 46-26-1, including a 13-12 advantage in Coral Gables, and has won three of its last four matches at Miami. The Seminoles are also looking for back-to-back wins over the Hurricanes for the first time since 2024.
Florida State opened ACC play with a five-set victory over Miami in Tallahassee on Wednesday. The Seminoles held the Hurricanes to a .087 hitting percentage, the lowest mark by an FSU opponent this season, while recording a season-high 14 blocks.
Senior outside hitter Kyleene Filimaua recorded her sixth double-double of the season in Wednesday's win, finishing with a match-high 18 kills and a team-high 15 digs. Filimaua currently leads the ACC with 200 points and ranks third in the conference in both kills (167) and aces (21).
Freshman outside hitter Sofia Moss surpassed 100 career kills in Wednesday's match, recording a career-high 16 kills and 12 digs for her fourth career double-double.
Junior setter Emma Lilo continues to pace the Seminole offense, which ranks second in the ACC with 575 assists. Lilo leads the team with 313 assists this season.
Junior opposite hitter Bailey Higgins made an impact at the net in the first meeting, recording a career-high seven total blocks, including the first two solo blocks of her career.
