CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. – After jumping back into the rankings with last week’s two-game sweep of No. 7 TCU, No. 23 Florida State (26-16, 11-10 ACC) hits the road for a three-game series at Boston College (18-28, 4-20). FSU last played at Boston College in a three-game sweep in 2018.
Friday and Sunday’s games will stream on ACC Network Extra, while Saturday’s contest will air nationally on ACC Network. Eric Luallen will provide radio coverage via 100.7 FM in Tallahassee or the FSU Gameday app nationwide.
The Seminoles will throw LHP Parker Messick Friday night. Messick is 6-2 with a 2.60 ERA and 116 strikeouts, the most in the country. Messick – the NCBWA Pitcher of the Month for April and four-time ACC Pitcher of the Week – also leads the country in strikeouts per nine innings and is Top 15 in strikeout-to-walk ratio and WHIP.
Last week against No. 7 TCU, Messick tied a career high with 14 strikeouts and allowed just two hits and no walks in 7.0 innings.
As a staff, Florida State leads the country with 521 strikeouts and 12.0 strikeouts per nine innings.
