No. 9 Men’s Golf Returns to the Cabo Collegiate Invitational

CABO, Mexico – Ninth-ranked Florida State Men’s Golf heads back to the Cabo Collegiate Invitational for the ninth consecutive year as it prepares for the Twin Dolphin’s Club on March 5-7.

The Seminoles bring a talented five-member group that includes Frederik Kjettrup, Cole Anderson, Brett Roberts, Luke Clanton and Michael Mays. Kjettrup is coming off a historic finish at the Watersound Invitational, breaking a three-round school record by winning the tournament at 18-under.

Another top-notch field comes to Cabo and includes Arkansas, Tennessee, FSU, Vanderbilt, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech, Stanford, Alabama, Baylor, Abilene Christian, Ole Miss, Arizona, Houston, Rice and Arizona State.

Mays is coming off his most productive outing as a Seminole when he finished as the top individual at the Watersound Invitational and tied at fourth overall. Mays shot a 12-under 204 (67-68-69) and earned his spot to Mexico with his tremendous spring start.

Twin Dolphin’s Club is a Fred Couples signature design course within the mountainous Baja desert. The Seminoles have won the Cabo Collegiate Invitational once, earning the win back in 2015 when the tournament was held at Los Cabos Querencia.

All golfers will begin Sunday’s opening round with a shot-gun tee time of 10 a.m. ET/8 a.m. MPST.

Following the tournament in Mexico, the Seminoles will host the Seminoles Intercollegiate held March 13-14 at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club.
