Florida State is now a unanimous Top 10 team in the five major polls, topping out at No. 7 in the D1Baseball rankings, after a series win against NC State over the weekend. Jaime Ferrer hit a walk-off home run in the 17th inning, tied for the second-longest game in FSU history by innings, to beat the Wolfpack 6-5 in the second game of Sunday’s doubleheader.

In total, FSU and NC State played 26 innings over nine hours Sunday.

FSU has won its first five series of the year for the first time since 2016. The Noles have also won the last two midweek games, against FGCU and Bethune-Cookman, with Montgomery earning the victory in both games.

UCF comes in after a 2-2 week, including a midweek win against Miami before dropping the weekend series against UNC-Greensboro. FSU is 38-7 all-time against the Knights.
