Several Noles to Compete at USATF Championships in Eugene

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Several current and former Florida State track and field athletes will be competing at the USA Track and Field Championships and the USA Track and Field U20 Championships in Eugene, Ore., at Hayward Field this upcoming Thursday through Sunday. The Noles will be sending 13 athletes to the championships.

TV Schedule (All Times Eastern)

Friday: CNBC (10 p.m. – 12 a.m.)

Saturday: NBC (4 p.m. – 6 p.m.)

Sunday: NBC (4 p.m. – 5 p.m.)

Sunday: USA (5 p.m. – 6 p.m.)

Competing Athletes

Athlete (Years at FSU) – Event

Marvin Bracy (2013) – 100m Dash 

When

First Round – Thursday (8:40 p.m.)

Semifinal – Friday (8:50 p.m.)

Final – Friday (10:30 p.m.; CNBC)

Outlook: Bracy competed for the Noles in 2013 and was the ACC 60m champion as well as competing for the Seminole football team during his time in Tallahassee. Bracy competed in the 2016 Rio Olympic Games in the 100m dash where he finished 14th.

DaeQwan Butler (2019-Present) – 400m Dash

First Round – Thursday (10:36 p.m.)

Semifinal – Friday (11:46 p.m.; CNBC)

Final – Saturday (5:31 p.m.; NBC)

Outlook: Butler will look to build off his most successful season as a Nole. Butler took home the outdoor ACC title in the 400m dash and ran the anchor leg of the men’s 4x400m relay team that finish second at the ACC Outdoor Championships and qualified for the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Trey Cunningham (2018-22) – 110m Hurdles

When

First Round – Saturday (3:35 p.m.)

Semifinal – Sunday (4:04 p.m.; NBC)

Final – Sunday (5:54; USA Network)

Outlook: The 110m hurdles national champion will get the chance to compete against some of the greatest hurdlers in world history to secure his spot at the World Championships. Cunningham will be competing against the No. 2 and No. 3 performers in world history in Grant Holloway and Devon Allen. Cunningham comes in with the third-best time of the crew at 13.00 which he ran in his national championship race at the NCAA Outdoor Championships.

Jeremiah Davis (2020-Present) – Long Jump; Triple Jump

Final – Friday –  Long Jump (8:45 p.m.)

Final – Sunday – Triple Jump (3:15 p.m.)

Outlook: The only athlete to score in both the long jump and the triple jump at the NCAA Outdoor Championships will look to punch his ticket to the World Championships. Davis finished second in the long jump (8.00m) and seventh in the triple jump (16.13m).

Rachel Dincoff (Volunteer Coach) – Discus

Outlook: A new addition to the track and field program, Dincoff has been training under assistant coach Doug Reynolds. Dincoff competed at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo in the discus and will be looking to make a splash at the World Championships in Eugene.

Isaac Grimes (2020-22) – Long Jump

Final – Friday –  Long Jump (8:45 p.m.)

Outlook: Grimes finished third at the NCAA Outdoor Championships in the long jump with a mark of 7.97m. Grimes was also the ACC champion in the event with a season-best mark of 8.05m.

Jacore Irving (2018-22) – Long Jump

Outlook: The most improved long jumper for the Noles will get his shot to compete at a national level. Irving finished fourth at the ACC Outdoor Championships in the long jump with a personal best mark of 7.83m (2.5).

Kasey Knevelbaard (2019-21) – 1500m Run

When

First Round – Thursday –  1500m run (9:35 p.m.)

Final – Saturday – 1500m Run (4:52 p.m.; NBC)

Outlook: The No. 2 performer all-time in the 1500m run at Florida State will be looking for his first trip to the World Championships in the 1500m run.

Jo’Vaughn Martin (2021-Present) – 100m Dash

First Round – Thursday (8:40 p.m.)

Semifinal – Friday (8:50 p.m.)

Final – Friday (10:30; CNBC)

Outlook: Martin picked up his second-straight First-Team All-America honor in the 100m dash at the NCAA Outdoor Championships on June 10. Martin finished fourth in the event with a time of 10.09. Martin is seeded 15th in the event at 10.05 which he ran at the NCAA East Preliminary, but he did run 9.94 last season at the Tom Jones Memorial.

Imani Oliver (Volunteer Coach) – Triple Jump

Final – Saturday –  Triple Jump (3:30 p.m.)

Outlook: Oliver is a new volunteer coach for the jump squad and has been training under assistant coach Leevan Sands. Oliver finished fourth in the triple jump at the Olympic Trials for the Tokyo Olympics. She is looking to get over the hump and make the World Championships. She is seeded fourth in the event.

Colleen Quigley (2011-15) – 3000m Steeplechase

When

First Round – Friday –  3000m Steeplechase (9:05 p.m.)

Final – Sunday – 3000m Steeplechase (5:23 p.m.; USA Network)

Outlook: The 2015 national champion and a 2016 Olympian in the 3000m steeplechase is back from injury and is looking to get back to her old ways. Quigley finished 8th in the event at the 2016 Olympics in Rio and last attended the World Championships in 2018.

Don’dre Swint (2021-Present) – 100m Dash

When

First Round – Thursday (8:40 p.m.)

Semifinal – Friday (8:50 p.m.)

Final – Friday (10:30 p.m.; CNBC)

Outlook: A member of the No. 2 4x100m relay team in school history, Swint hopes to post a solid individual showing on the national stage in the 100m dash. Swint has a personal best 10.14 which he ran at the NCAA East Preliminary

Curtis Williams (2022- Present) – Long Jump (U20)

When

Final – Friday –  Long Jump (4:15 p.m.)

Outlook: A redshirt in the 2022 season, Williams will look to make a splash at the USA U20 Championships in the long jump. Williams had a season-best jump of 7.61m (2.6) at the Tom Jones Memorial where he competed unattached.
