REDSHIRT SOPHOMORE (2022):
Led FSU with eight wins, finishing 8-3 with a 3.32 ERA…all 15 appearances were starts…96 strikeouts in 76.0 innings…Second Team All-ACC…NCBWA National Pitcher of the Month in February after not allowing a run against James Madison and Samford…ACC Pitcher of the Week twice in wins against JMU and at Boston College…career-high 13 strikeouts opening weekend against JMU…won his first four starts, the first Nole since Cole Sands in 2018 to do so…allowed one hit and struck out nine batters in 5.2 innings at Wake Forest…struck out 10 Miami batters in 5.0 innings…struck out 11 BC hitters and gave up just one hit in 7.0 innings…11 strikeouts at Boston College were his most in a road game and matched his total from his previous four starts combined…retired the final 17 Eagles he faced…struck out 12 Cal batters in career-high 7.2 innings…drafted in the third round by the Cincinnati Reds.
REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2021):
Went 6-5 with a 3.80 earned run average over 16 appearances and 14 starts…compiled 94 strikeouts over 71.0 innings…opponents hit just .208 against the left-hander…finished in the Top 100 nationally in strikeouts per nine innings (49th, 11.92), fewest hits allowed per nine innings (81st, 6.85) and strikeouts (84th)…earned third team All-ACC honors and was named to the All-Freshman Team…set a career high with 12 strikeouts against Troy on May 1, allowing two runs over 6.1 innings…as a team, FSU K’d 17 Trojans without a walk, the second-most strikeouts without a walk in FSU history…after coming out of the bullpen to open the year, his final 14 games were starts…in the NCAA Tournament against Ole Miss, allowed just one earned run in 5.1 innings…earned the win against No. 16 Virginia in his first start of the year, allowing just one hit and no runs over 6.0 innings…also notched wins against North Florida on opening weekend, at Miami (6.0 IP, 1 ER), Boston College (5.2 IP, 0 ER), at Georgia Tech (5.0 IP, 1 ER) and vs. Clemson (6.0 IP, 1 ER)…finished 8th in the ACC in strikeouts, 6th in opponent batting average and 12th in ERA…his 36 strikeouts looking were third in the league…played summer ball for the Brewster Whitecaps in the Cape Cod League.
FRESHMAN (2020):
Ended 0-1 with a 6.48 earned run average over seven appearances and three starts…struck out 13 batters in 8.1 innings pitched…loss came in season opener against Niagara…last three appearances were starts, throwing more innings in each appearance…started FSU’s season finale against Illinois State with 2.1 innings pitched and four strikeouts…struck out two batters in 1.0 innings pitched against Niagara and Cincinnati…made starts against FAU, Mercer and Illinois State…only Seminole to make first career start in 2020…played summer ball with the Winter Garden Squeeze in the Florida Collegiate Summer League…named a first-team pitcher after posting a 0.60 ERA with 31 strikeouts in 15 innings pitched…opponents hit just .122 against him over the summer.
PERSONAL:
Graduated from Windermere High in Windermere, Florida…as a senior, he went 9-0 with a 0.73 earned run average and 96 strikeouts in 57.2 innings pitched…threw a complete game to help lead Wolverines past Hagerty 3-2 in the FHSAA Class 8A, Region 3 semifinals…2019 Perfect Game All-American and first team All-Region in Florida…2019 FACA District 11 MVP…2019 HSBN 8A Pitcher of the Year…ranked No. 43 overall player in Florida and the state’s No. 4 left-handed pitcher by Perfect Game…ranked 9th overall player in the state by Prep Baseball Report…played volleyball two years in high school…at Windermere, was in National Honor Society and graduated with a 4.8 GPA…parents are Darrin and Angie Hubbart…siblings are Lakon and Madison, who also attends Florida State…majoring in sport management…born on June 28, 2001.
