WHY I WEAR MY NUMBER

I wear No. 41 because I think 41 is an uncommon, but cool number worn by some NBA greats, such as Dirk Nowitzki.

R.J. Morris is the eighth player in school history to earn uniform No. 41.  He is the second Seminole under Head Coach Leonard Hamilton and his staff, to wear the number since Uche Echefu (2006-09).  Echefu played on Florida State’s 2009 NCAA Tournament team, which was also the first Seminole team to play in the championship game of the ACC Tournament.

MY HOMETOWN

I grew up in Palm City, Florida. It is a small town in South Florida and is known for its close proximity to the beach.

My full name is Robert Russell Morris Jr. I was named after my father who is Robert Russell Morris. Since I was born, my nickname has always been RJ since I was born, which stands for “Robert Junior”.
