ON JONES
A first-year member of the Seminole men’s golf team whose pedigree within the sport of high level Division I golf ensures his vision of a bright collegiate career…finished in a tie for eighth place at the AJGA Junior Championship presented by Visit Tallahassee in 2024…the event was played at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club – his collegiate home course…won the championship of the 2022 Sea Palms Junior Classic on the Sea Palms Course at St. Simons Island, Ga…a tie for fourth place finish at the 2023 SJGT Harris English Invitational at Glen Arven in Thomasville, Ga…finished in a tie for sixth place at the 2022 SJFT Tournament of Champions.
BEFORE FLORIDA STATE
Graduated from Florida High School in Tallahassee in 2024….earned All-Big Bend First-Team honors by the Tallahassee Democrat in each of his four seasons at Florida High…won the individual 1A district championship as a freshman…won the championship again as a sophomore as he defeated teammate Luke Urban in a playoff…the top two finishes by Jones and Urban led Florida High to the district team championship…his district championship propelled him to his first individual appearance is the high school state championship tournament…the Florida High school student athlete of the month in December of 2021.

Born: September 15, 2005…Drew is the son of Cathy and Trey Jones…Trey is the Director of Golf and Head Men’s Golf Coach at Florida State…Cathy is the coordinator for financial aid for student-athletes at Florida State…a sister, Jordan, is a recent graduate of Florida State University…a member of the National Honor Society, the National English Honor Society, and the National STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Honor Society…major is accounting.
