Eunice Hernandez

Eunice Hernández has served as an athletic trainer for Florida State University since September of 2003. Currently, she is the head athletic trainer with the Women’s Softball team. From 2003 until 2006, she served as the head athletic trainer for the Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross Country programs. During that time, she garnered two Outdoor Track and Field national titles (2006 & 2007), three East Region titles, four ACC Indoor titles, and three ACC outdoor titles with the men’s team. Before leaving the track program, Ms. Hernández was involved in the facility design for the athletic training room housed within the Mike Long Track fieldhouse.

In the 2007 season, Ms. Hernández worked with the Women’s Soccer program which advanced to the Finals of the Women’s College Cup for the first time in FSU history.

In 2008, Ms. Hernández transitioned to the softball program. In her initial 11 seasons with the softball team, they won the conference tournament seven times; earning 11 consecutive bids to the NCAA Softball Regional tournament. The Seminoles advanced further to the Super Regional tournament in seven consecutive seasons (2013-19). With the Seminoles, Ms. Hernández had the pleasure of advancing to the Women’s College World Series in 2014, 2016, 2018 capping off the 2018 season with an NCAA national championship.
Ms. Hernández was also the head athletic trainer for the Women’s Golf team from 2003-2018.

From 2019-2021, Ms. Hernández spent 2 seasons with the Women’s and Men’s Swimming and Diving teams before returning to Softball in the fall of 2021 where the team won the 2022 and 2023 conference tournament titles and earned automatic bids to host the NCAA Regional tournament (2022, 2023, 2024); advancing to Super Regionals in 2023 and 2024, while finishing the runner-up of the 2023 WCWS.

Prior to arriving at FSU, Ms. Hernández attended graduate school at the University of Miami (FL) concurrently serving as a graduate assistant athletic trainer at UM with the Football and Men’s and Women’s Swimming and Diving programs. She was on the staff for the 2002 Rose Bowl National Championship as well as the 2003 Fiesta Bowl National Championship.

Ms. Hernández completed her Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training at Barry University (Miami Shores, FL) in 1999. She is a native of Miami, FL.
