Anna Hinde and Makenna Sturgis Named D1Softball Freshmen All-Americans

TALLAHASSEE - Freshmen Anna Hinde and Makenna Sturgis were named D1Softball Freshmen All-America Second Team on Thursday morning. 

Hinde made 61 starts for the Seminoles and hit .344 in her first season with the Garnet and Gold. Hinde hit nine home runs and drove in 43 runs and had an on-base percentage of .416. Hinde was FSU's primary catcher and did not commit an error behind the plate. 

Sturgis played in 61 games and made 49 starts for the Noles. Sturgis did a little bit of everything as she started the season in the outfield before moving to second base in place of Marin Heller for the final 14 games. Sturgis did not commit an error during her time at second base. Sturgis hit .352 with 15 doubles, three home runs and 32 RBI.
