A member of Florida State’s 2024-25 team that won the first ACC Championship in school history…played in two ACC Championship tournaments, one NCAA Regional Championship tournament and one NCAA Championship Finals tournament during her career…a member of four Florida State teams which advanced to the NCAA Championship finals in 2022, 2023, 2024, and 2025…played in three of Florida State’s 10 matches during the 2023-24 fall and spring seasons…played in the Florida State Match Up, the Old Barnwell Match Up Derby and the ACC Championship in 2024…earned playing experience in five of Florida State’s 12 matches in 2023 including the ACC Championships, the NCAA Raleigh Regional Championship and the NCAA Championship Finals…helped Florida State finish in fifth place at the 2023 NCAA Raleigh Regional Championship in the Seminoles’ 17th consecutive NCAA Regional championship appearance…the Seminoles’ finish at the NCAA Raleigh Regional Championship propelled the Seminoles into a seventh consecutive appearance in the NCAA Championship Finals…earned three counting scores at the NCAA Championship Finals to help the Seminoles reach match play at the NCAA Championship Finals for the second consecutive year…one of the top junior golfers in the state of Florida as a junior…ranked 10th in the Rolex AJGA Rankings entering her freshman season at Florida State…named as the 2018 Florida Junior Tour Player of the Year after winning the Florida Junior Tour Championship…the 2023 Golden Torch Award winner for excellence in academics as awarded by the FSU Department of Athletics…a member of the Florida State Athletics Student-Athlete Advisory Committee during the 2024-25 academic year…an outstanding student as she earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average as a freshman in 2021-22…earned a perfect 4.0 grade point average during her first three semesters as she was named to the Academic President’s List (signifying a perfect 4.0 GPA) in each of her first three semesters at Florida State… earned FSU Academic Dean’s List Honors during the spring of her 2023 and 2024 seasons and during the fall of 2024 season…named to the 2022, 2023, and 2024 ACC Academic Honor Roll...averaged 75.25 strokes in 12 rounds during six events during her career as a Seminole.

Played in three matches including the Florida State Match and her second career ACC Championship…helped lead Florida State to a tie for sixth place finish in the ACC Championship as she played in two of three rounds during the event...played as a member of the Seminoles' lineup in the second and third rounds of the ACC Championship…carded a 5 over par score of 77 in the second round...Florida State was in sixth place in the team standings after 36 holes of play…totaled scores of 77-75 for a 152 total in the two rounds she played in the ACC Championship...played as an individual for the Seminoles in the Florida State Match Up...was in a tie for 31st place after the first round of the Match Up with a career-low tying score of 73...was tied for the third highest of the eight individuals after the first round of play...finished with a 74 in the third round of play in the Florida State...played in two of Florida State’s three matches at the Old Barnwell Match Play Derby hosted by NC State…lost to Phoebe Brinker of Duke, 4&3, in the first round of the match play at the Old Barnhill Match Play Derby...Duke defeated the Seminoles by a 3-2 margin in the first of three matches in the event...defeated Samantha Whateley of Mississippi State by a 4&3 margin in the third round of the Old Barnwell...the Seminoles and the Bulldogs finished their final match tied a 2-2-1...averaged career-best 74.75 strokes in two matches and was 1-1 in match play during her redshirt junior season.

FALL 2023
A member of the team but did not play in any events...the Golden Torch Award winner for Women's Golf as presented in a ceremony during the Seminoles' football victory over Virginia Tech (Oct. 7).

SPRING 2023 (SEASON AVERAGE: 75.50 / LOW ROUND: 73)
Earned playing time for the first time as a Seminole as she appeared in four of Florida State’s seven matches during the season…appeared in four matches – the Florida State Match Up, the ACC Championships, the NCAA Raleigh Regional Championships and the NCAA Championship Finals…career-best single round score of 73 came in the second round of the NCAA Championship Finals…career best 36-hole score of 136 also came at the NCAA Championship Finals…made her career debut as a Seminole at the Florida State Match Up at the Seminole Legacy Golf Club…a first round score of 77 and was in a tie for 32nd place after the first round of the FSU Match Up playing as an individual…did not play in the second or third round of the tournament because of an injury…tied for the team lead with two wins and a 2-1 record at the NC State Match Play Championship…earned victories over Riley Smyth of Virginia (4&3) and Natalie Ambruester of NC State (1UP) after falling to Becca Dinunzio of Virginia Tech (3&2) in her first match of the tournament…Florida State finished with a 1-2 record in the event with a win over Virginia and losses to Virginia Tech and NC State…carded a 75 in the first round and a 77 in the third round of the ACC Championship and helped the Seminoles to a fifth place team standing in her first career ACC Championships appearance…did not play in the second round of the championship…both of her scores of 75 in the first round and 77 in the second round of the ACC Championships were counted towards the Seminoles’ team total…played in two of Florida State’s three rounds in the NCAA Raleigh Regional Championship…counted her first round score towards the team score as she carded a career-best score of 74 in the first round of the regional…her score of 74 had her in a tie for 34th place in the individual standings…Florida was in second place in the team standings after the first round of play in the regional…a 36-hole total of 153 with scores of 74-79 had her in 65th place in the individual standings of the NCAA Raleigh Regional Championship…Florida State was in sixth place in the team standings after two rounds of the regional championship…Florida State finished in fifth place in the team standings to advance to their seventh consecutive NCAA Championship Final…inserted into Florida State’s lineup for the second round of the NCAA Division I Championships and responded with a career-best score of 73…her play in the second round helped the Seminoles into a tie for eighth place standing in the team race after two rounds of play at the National Finals…a second consecutive score of 73 in the third round helped Florida State advance to the fourth round of stroke play…her back-to-back scores of 73 helped Florida State finish in fifth place in the team standings following three rounds of play in the championship…totaled a 76 in the fourth round to help the Seminoles advance to match play for the second consecutive season…her play helped the Seminoles finish in sixth place in the team standings and advance to match play for the second consecutive season…Florida State fell to Wake Forest, 3-1-1, in the quarterfinals of match play…averaged 75.50 strokes in eight rounds during four tournaments.

Played as a member of the victorious East Team in the AJGA Wyndham Cup event at the Bulls Bay Golf Club in Awendaw, S.C (July 7-10)…Hewlett and the East Team defeated the West Team by a 29.50-20-50 margin to claim the team championship…teamed with Bailey Shoemaker to earn a tie against Michelle Zhange and Leigh Chein in the first day Fourball Matches…teamed with Kaitlyn Schroeder for a close 4&3 loss to Anna Davis and Catherine Rao in the first day afternoon Foursome matches…in a tandem with Maxwell Ford for a 4&2 loss to Thomas Morrison and Avery Zweig in the Mixed Foursome Matches the second day…fell to Kendall Todd, 2up, in Singles play on the final day of the championship…advanced to the round of 16 in the Florida Women’s Amateur Championship at the Hammock Dunes Club in Palm Coast, Fla…was in a tie for second place in stroke play after a 3 under par 69 in the first round of the tournament…a second round score of 75 and a two-day total of 144 advanced her to the match play round as she finished in a tie for ninth place in the stroke play standings…finished in a tie for fifth place in the AJGA Polo Junior Golf Classic at Liberty National Golf Club in New Jersey…won three poll play matches in advancing to match play in the event…advanced to the quarterfinals of match play where she fell to Katie Li, 1 up.

BEFORE FLORIDA STATE
Graduated from East Lake High School in 2021…played in the state championship tournament in each of her three competitive seasons at East Lake…participated in the state championship tournament as an individual during her freshman season…finished as the runner-up in the 2019 FHSAA 3A State Championship Tournament…shot a 6 under par 138 and finished only two strokes behind the individual champion…led East Lake to the 2017 State Tournament as a freshman…carded a 6 under par 66 in the 2017 Class 3A Region Championship…in carding a score of 66, she earned a hole in one on the par three hole No. 3 at the Lansbrook (Fla.) Golf Course…a member of the National Honor Society and earned a grade point average of 4.39…graduated with honors.

PERSONAL
Born February 14, 2003…Madison is the daughter of Pam and Trevor Hewlett…has one younger sister, Sydney, who is a junior in high school…began playing golf at age 8…played in her first tournament at age 9…her favorite player is Lydia Ko…in addition to being a member of the National Honor Society in high school, she was a member of the National Technical Honor Society and named to the academic Dean’s List in each of her four years at East Lake…has competed as a mixed martial arts athlete…both of her grandparents on her father’s side of the family attended Florida State…a big Tampa Bay Lighting fan…volunteers for the First-Tee organization which empowers younger golfers to excel on the golf course and as youngsters to build their character as they move forward with their lives…one of the top junior golfers in the state of Florida as a junior…ranked 10th in the Rolex AJGA Rankings entering her freshman season at Florida State…named as the 2018 Florida Junior Tour Player of the Year after winning the Florida Junior Tour Championship…the individual champion at the 2020 First Coast Women’s Amateur at the Jacksonville Golf and Country Club…carded scores of 68-71=139 to claim the championship by one stroke…won the championship title at the 2018 Florida Junior Tour Championship…won the individual championship at the AJGA Junior at Victoria Hills in 2019…also second place finishes at the AJGA Junior at Gleneagles in 2019 and at the Rome Junior Classic in 2021…earned medalist honors in the 2020 Florida Women’s Four-Ball Championship…a seasoned AJGA veteran, she earned 10 top five finishes in 2020 and 2021…finished in second place at the Rome Junior Classic (68-65-69=202), in third placed at the AJGA Junior at Innis brook (76-71-71=218), tied for third at the Rolex Tournament of Champions (74-68-74-66=282), fourth at the Arnold Palmer Invitational honoring Jim Bell (75-72-71=218) and fifth at the AJGA Junior Championship benefiting the Make-A-Wish Foundation (71-71=142)…major is finance.

GETTING TO KNOW MADISON
My Golf Hero is: Seve Ballesteros is my golf hero because of how creative he was with his short game. My favorite golf course is: Bay Hill Country Club in Orlando.  I have:  Four career holes in one.  My favorite thing about golf:  Are the friendships I have made on the course.  I have also excelled in: Rummikub (a tile-based board game).  The best advice you have ever received: The process is more important than the product.
