ORLANDO, Florida – James Tibbs III was 3-for-4 Tuesday, with two RBI and his sixth home run of the season, but Florida State fell at UCF 6-3 Wednesday night. Tibbs is hitting .393 and leads FSU in RBI and runs scored.
The Knights led 6-0 after the fourth inning, scoring five runs in the fourth against the Seminole bullpen. Ryan Denison allowed one run in his first career start.
FSU fought back with two runs in the fifth and Tibbs’ home run in the eighth, but could not plate a run in the ninth to extend the game.
