TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – Florida State Women’s Basketball will play Wisconsin in the annual ACC-Big Ten Challenge held on Thursday, Dec. 1, at the Kohl Center in Madison, Wis.

It will mark the 15th conference challenge between the ACC and the Big Ten. Florida State’s 12-2 record in the challenge is the best among current ACC schools. Last year, the Seminoles went on the road and defeated Illinois, 67-58, in Champaign.

Florida State owns a nine-game win streak in the ACC-Big Ten Challenge, which is the longest active win streak of any current school in both conferences. FSU has won every game in the challenge since 2012 when it defeated Iowa 83-69.

Florida State and Wisconsin will be meeting for just the second time in series history, with the first being a high-scoring 100-87 win by FSU at the Tallahassee Hilton Classic on Dec. 4, 1987.

The matchup in Madison will be a homecoming for rising redshirt senior forward Erin Howard, who is from Madison and whose father played basketball for the Badgers.

Wisconsin was also an important stop for legendary FSU head coach Sue Semrau, who served three years as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Badgers from 1994-97.
