TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — As the 2019 season approaches, Florida State softball is encouraging fans to circle February 2 on their calendar and be a part of all of our events on campus as the Seminoles kick off the season.
Starting the day at 2:00 p.m. at JoAnne Graf Field, there will be a free Fan Day where there will be a Garnet and Gold Scrimmage with the team and fans will learn the in-game cheers, see the 2018 NCAA National Championship trophy as well as meet the players and take part in a post-scrimmage poster signing.
“We are really looking forward to getting the season started and excited to have our first Fan Day at JoAnne Graf Field,” said FSU head coach Lonni Alameda. “Join us at 2-2-2 (February 2 at 2:00 p.m.) as we have some fun, learn about FSU softball and have a chance to meet the team. Then we get to finish the day with our Kickoff Social. It should be an amazing time and a great way to start 2019 with Team 36.”
After the Fan Day will be the FSU Softball Kickoff Social, which begins at 5:00 p.m. at the Dunlap Champions Club. Tickets for the Social are $30 for adults and $15 for youth (ages 6-12) and can be reserved online at http://one.fsu.edu/boosters/events/softballkickoffsocial. There will be a dinner buffet, a live auction, a silent auction, skits from the FSU softball team, as well as speeches from coaches and players. It is an evening of celebration to start the year on a high note.
