Game 1: UCF 5, Auburn, 4
After falling behind 1-0 in the first, UCF rallied with a five-run second inning. Auburn answered with a three-run third to cut the lead to 5-4. The Knights survived the bottom of the seventh with the bases loaded in order to move to the winner’s bracket on Saturday.
Game 2: KSU 2, FSU 6
A four-run rally in the top of the fifth inning was the spark that Florida State needed in order to defeat Kennesaw State 6-2. The Seminoles will face UCF in the first game of the winner’s bracket on Saturday. KSU will play Auburn at 2:30 p.m.
Game 3: FSU 3, UCF 0
Cassidy Davis led Florida State over UCF 3-0. Davis broke the no-hitter in the top of the fifth inning by swinging a solo homerun. She added a two-run shot in the top of the seventh.
Game 4: KSU 1, Auburn 0
An early run scored by Kennesaw State was all that Owls needed in order to get by Auburn 1-0. It was the first NCAA post season win for KSU in school history.
Game 5: KSU 0, UCF 2
UCF put one run across in both the first and second inning in order to advance to Sunday, 2-0, despite seven hits from the Owls.
