Castellanos Earns ACC Offensive Player of the Week

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Senior Deyna Castellanos earned her second ACC Player of the Week honor this season, taking home ACC Offensive Player of the Week. Castellanos helped lead the Seminoles to a win over No. 9 Duke in the ACC regular-season finale and a 2-1 win over No. 22 Clemson in the first round of the ACC Tournament.

Castellanos scored the game’s only goal against Duke in the 78th minute on a strike from 30 yards out into the upper left corner. The goal moved her into a tie for second place all-time in points at Florida State with 111 and into a tie for first in all-time game-winning goals with 19.

Castellanos would go on to record a goal and an assist against No. 22 Clemson in the ACC Tournament quarterfinal in Tallahassee to move into sole possession of second place on the all-time points list at FSU (114).
