FSU Places League High Five on Preseason All-CCSA Team

EMERSON, Ga. – The Florida State beach volleyball team placed a program-record five student-athletes on the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association (CCSA) Preseason All-Conference Team, the league office announced on Wednesday, February 19.

Seniors Molly McBain and Sara Putt, along with juniors Madison Fitzpatrick and Alaina Chacon to go along with sophomore Kate Privett were all selected to the Preseason Team.

FSU is one of only three teams with multiple players on the list, as both LSU and FIU have two. This marks the fourth season in a row the Seminoles had more players on the Preseason Team than any other program in the conference. This also marks a program record with five selected to the all-conference team, the previous high was four.

They were 14-7 on court one, 8-5 on court two and 1-0 on court three. Their 27 wins together vaulted them into 12th place all-time at FSU for wins as a pair. The pairing earned CCSA Pair of the Week twice and AVCA/CollegeBeachVB.com Pair of the Week once. They were named to the 2019 CCSA First Team All-Conference and were second-team volleyballmag.com All-Americans and First team DiG Collegiate Volleyball All-Americans.

She finished third on the team in wins with 29. Privett was named to the CCSA All-Tournament team with Macy Jerger and earned the AVCA Top Flight Award for court five.
