TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Florida State will conclude its 2020 regular season hosting Duke on Dec. 12 and traveling to Wake Forest on Dec. 19, it was announced Tuesday.
“We appreciate the hard work the ACC and our television partners have put in to re-format a schedule that tries to address a myriad of needs shared by all our football programs,” said FSU Director of Athletics David Coburn. “All teams in the league have made sacrifices and adjustments for the overall good of the conference.”
“I know our coaches and football team are happy that they can play two conference games. We are pleased to be hosting Duke in Doak Campbell Stadium, and we appreciate the opportunity to play Wake Forest on December 19. We understand the impact of one less home game, and we will be in touch with ticketholders soon regarding ticket options.”
FSU leads the all-time series with Duke 20-0, which is the most wins in the country against a current conference opponent without a loss. The last meeting in Tallahassee between the two teams was a 48-7 victory for the Seminoles in 2012.
The addition of Wake Forest continues a streak that matches up the Seminoles and Demon Deacons every season since Florida State joined the ACC for the 1992 season. The only other ACC team FSU has played every season from 1992-2020 is North Carolina State. Florida State leads the all-time series with Wake Forest 30-7-1.
Ticketing details will be announced soon.
