TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — For the 11th time in her impressive career, and the sixth time in 2019, Meghan King has been named the ACC Pitcher of the Week, as announced by the league on Tuesday.
The redshirt senior was dominant in the circle last week as she posted a 3-0 record with a 0.42 ERA over 16.2 innings of work in wins against Troy and Duke. She recorded 18 strikeouts and allowed zero walks on the week, as opponents batted just .180 against her in her three appearances.
She helped the Seminoles to record a streak of 30.2 scoreless innings in ACC play in victories against Duke and Boston College and King has not allowed a walk in her last 20.1 innings of work, dating back to April 19.
King and the Seminoles head to Syracuse to wrap up the 2019 regular season on May 3-5. All three games will be shown on ACC Network Extra and links for the broadcast and live stats will be available on the softball schedule page of Seminoles.com.
