Florida State Softball to Play in Inaugural Sarasota College Softball Classic in 2027

SARASOTA, Fla. - The Florida State softball team will play in the first-ever Sarasota Softball Classic on Feb. 11-14, 2027, in Sarasota, Fla. The Seminoles will be joined by Alabama, Baylor, James Madison, Ohio State and Texas State.
The tournament will take place on the opening weekend of the 2027 season and will be hosted by Peak Events, LLC, which also hosts some of the top college baseball events including Live Like Lou Jax College Baseball Classic, Live Like Lou Las Vegas College Baseball Classic, Frisco College Baseball Classic, Round Rock College Baseball Classic, and Battle at the Ballpark. The 2027 Sarasota Classic will be the first college softball event hosted by Peak Events, LLC.Â
The 2027 Sarasota Classic will feature 15 games over the course of four days. Four games will be played on Thursday, Friday and Saturday while Sunday will feature three games. All games will be played at the the 17th Street Regional Sports Complex, which is currently under construction and scheduled to open in September 2026. Â
Information about the complete game schedule, tickets, broadcasts, and other details will be revealed at a later date.
