TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The Florida State Men’s Golf team added four talented golfers to its 2019-20 roster this week. Robin “Tiger” Williams (Peterborough, U.K.), Fletcher Wunderlich (Port St. Lucie, Fla.), Cole Anderson (Camden, Maine) and Alan Klenor (Longboat Key, Fla.) signed their National Letters of Intent to highlight a strong 2019 class for the Seminoles.
“We are excited to announce the signing of four very talented golfers and students to Florida State,” FSU head coach Trey Jones said. “While all come from different backgrounds they possess the talent and character we look for in our team members.”
Sporting a very similar look to golf legend Tiger Woods, whom he was named after, Williams was a member on the European side of the 2018 Junior Ryder Cup. The England native went 2-1 against the United States. He is scheduled to enroll early at Florida State in January.
At the Ryder Cup that Woods participated in at France, Williams receive the thrill of a lifetime when he met his sports idol along with members of the Junior Ryder Cup team.

Williams has made plenty of headlines in the golfing world after participating in the 2017 British Masters on the European Tour as just a 16-year-old. He recently teamed with his Great Britain and Ireland golfers to defeat The Continent of Europe, 15.5-9.5, and win the 2018 Jacque Leglise Trophy
“Robin is a guy that will find a way to put himself in contention each week,” Jones said. “He is solid in all aspects of his game.”
Success has been a routine part of Williams’ golfing life. He was also a member of the 2017 and 2018 winning England U18 Team at the European Championships. Williams attend Penn Foster High School.
Klenor adds another key component to the signing class. The Saint Stephens Episcopal School product finished second at the Czech Junior Championship in 2016 and sixth at the Czech International Amateur Championship presented by Raiffeisen Bank in 2017.
“Alan is a strong player with an elite power game,” Jones said. “His physical skills jumped out at us this summer at the Florida State Junior and British Boys Championship. Alan has a huge upside and has the game to play big courses very well.”
At the Florida State Golf Association Men’s Amateur Championship, Klenor placed 34th in stroke play among 168 of the state’s top amateur golfers. On the FSGA circuit this past year, he owns two Top 10 finishes at Heritage Oaks Golf and Country Club (T8th) as well as River Strand Golf and Country Club (T8th).
Klenor also has five Top 15 finishes over the last year on the FSGA circuit.
Wunderlich represented his Port St. Lucie High School squad very well at the Class 2A state golf tournament two weeks ago. He tied for the boys state runner-up, shooting a 75-72 (147) which included a birdie on five of his final nine holes at the tournament.
“Fletcher is very athletic and has always had great hands around the green,” Jones added.
Previously, Wunderlich shot a 2-under 70 and won a playoff to medal in the Region 8-2A tournament at Sandridge Golf Club in October. It was the lowest postseason round of his career.
On the FSGA circuit, Wunderlich tied for 25th at the Junior Amateur Match Play held at Wyndemere Country Club in Naples, Fla.
Anderson, who attend Camden Hills Regional High School, has become one of the top golfers in his state of Maine. Anderson has been a constant force for his high school since his freshman season, being a three-time state champion and a runner-up from 2015-18. Like Williams, he will enroll early at FSU in January.
“Cole is a great competitor whose power is more of a throwback ball control player. He can shoot a number and knows how to win,” Jones said.
His other title wins include the Samoset Resort Club champion (2016 and 2017), AJGA Coca-Cola junior champion (2017 and 2018), New England Golf Association Junior individual champion (2016), New England PGA junior champion (2017) and the Maine State Match Play Invitational Championship (2018).
Anderson is regarded as one of the top golfers in New England, and committed to play at Florida State in February 2017. Anderson cited the facilities, campus and culture as some of the reasons he has chosen to attend FSU.
With an experienced roster this year that includes two seniors and four juniors, FSU’s four incoming freshmen will have chances to make an impact next year. Williams, Wunderlich, Anderson and Klenor will also be part of the newly developed Nicklaus Legacy Course in Tallahassee – Florida State Men’s Golf future home course.
