TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (Seminoles.com) – The Florida State Volleyball team faces another road challenge as it prepares for Syracuse in a re-match of a five-set thriller two weeks ago. FSU and Syracuse face off on Sunday at Noon on Bally Sports Florida and other regional sports networks.
The Seminoles (18-6, 10-4) remain in fifth place in the competitive Atlantic Coast Conference, which has an incredible nine teams in the Top 55 of the latest NCAA RPI. FSU boasts a 17th-ranked RPI while the Orange (16-11, 5-10) rank 42nd.
The two teams played a marathon match on Halloween at Tully Gym that lasted nearly three hours, as FSU came away with a hard-fought 3-2 win. Freshman outside hitter Audrey Koenig was the attacking catalyst in that match with 18 kills, including several big points in the fifth set.
