Top-Ranked Soccer To Face Pitt in ACC Semifinals

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The No. 1 Florida State women's soccer team (14-0-1, 9-0-1) now knows their opponent for the ACC Semifinals on Thursday. FSU will take on fifth-seeded Pitt (14-4-1, 6-3-1) after the Panthers defeated fourth-seeded North Carolina 2-1 in two overtimes on Sunday night in Chapel Hill, N.C. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. at WakeMed Park in Cary, N.C., and can be seen live on the ACC Network. Ticket for the ACC Tournament can be found here.Â
FSU and Pitt met just 10 days ago at the Seminole Soccer Complex where the Seminoles prevailed in a 3-2 victory over Pitt. FSU was led by Onyi Echegini who scored two goals to put FSU on top. The Seminoles have never lost to Pitt holding a perfect 12-0 record against the Panthers. FSU is looking for their fourth-straight ACC Championship and looking to win both the ACC Regular Season and Tournament Championship for just the fourth time in school history.
